Costs
Birth doula services - £450
plus expenses
Payment: Once we have had our initial meeting and you decide that you wish to hire me as your birth doula, I would ask for a non-refundable deposit of £100. The balance would be due at my postnatal visit, or you can pay in installments. Also any expenses occured would be covered at this visit.
Postnatal doula services - £10 per hour plus expenses
(minimum 3 hour sessions)

The 20 hours is to be taken within the first 6 weeks

Mileage - charged at 40p per mile.
Failure to provide services:
I will make every effort to provide the services described here. Sometimes, this is impossible (ie. a rapid labour and birth, bad weather, car trouble etc.). If I am unable to attend your birth, I will do my best to arrange for a backup Doula to be on call. If my failure to attend the birth is due to my error, there will be a refund to cover the birth cost (if paid in full) and the cost to you will be to cover birth preparation sessions and postnatal sessions, If no payment other than deposit made at this point then an invoice for outstanding will be given as normal. If it is due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, or your failure to call me, then full amount will still need to be paid to cover antenatal sessions and on call period, I would still carry out postnatal sessions with you after birth.
